TBP Prihatin: Kicking Off The School Year With Big Smiles

On 6 February 2025, Tanjung Bruas Port Sdn Bhd (Tanjung Bruas Port), a member of MMC Group, continued to demonstrate its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) through the Back to School programme. For 2025, Tanjung Bruas Port has once again collaborated with Pusat Pakaian Hari-Hari, Melaka Sentral branch, marking the third consecutive year of the partnership. A total of 116 children from underprivileged families, including Asnaf, Fakir dan Miskin from areas surrounding Tanjung Bruas Port, ADUN Pantai Kundur and Parlimen Tangga Batu, received school supplies to help prepare for the upcoming school session in mid-February. This initiative aimed to ease the financial burden on parents while bringing joy and motivation to the children.

The programme witnessed a lunch gathering held at Restoran D’Apple Fried Chicken, Klebang where the children dined together alongside Tanjung Bruas Port staff, State Legislative Assembly Development and Coordination Committee Offices (JAPERUN) representatives, members of Village Development and Security Committee (JPKK) Tanjung Kling and JPKK Pengkalan Perigi. The event was made even more lively with the presence of YB Tuminah Kadi, ADUN Pantai Kundur, who took the opportunity to engage with the children and share their excitement.

YB Tuminah expressed her appreciation for Tanjung Bruas Port’s initiative for its ongoing commitment to community welfare. She highlighted that such efforts not only provide financial relief to families in need but also demonstrate Tanjung Bruas Port’s dedication to social responsibility and the well-being of the local community.

In addition to the Back to School programme, Tanjung Bruas Port has implemented various other CSR initiatives, such as supplying solar-powered lamps for fishermen’s huts in Balik Bukit, visiting local residents' homes, and donating funds to Surau Hj Abu Balik Bukit. All the initiatives reflect Tanjung Bruas Port’s continuous efforts to support the well-being of the local community and strengthen the spirit of solidarity.

Through the Back to School programme and other CSR initiatives, Tanjung Bruas Port reinforces its dedication to keep supporting those in need and promoting social responsibility. Moving forward, Tanjung Bruas Port hopes to continue such initiatives for the benefit of the local community.
